Hey guys, can anyone help me out. A buddy has just bought himself a GoPro and he wants to upload the photos but the files are huge. Any info or guidance appreciated. Thanks in advance. :)

I would have thought that the target website may have taken care of that for you.

If all else fails this software will do everything - http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

A bear of a website to navigate but it does work.

Well, GoPro and other cams like it already compress the video. It is how the recordings fit onto SD cards. What he wants to do is load the video into a video editor. There he can reduce the pixel size of the recording (like down to 640x360 or 1280x640). He can also edit out the boring stuff in the video. If he is recording a ride, most vids get boring after a few minutes. Then he saves the edited video and uploads it.

Mpegstreamclip is free and pretty simple to use. You can look up some tips on youtube if you don't have any experience using editing software

Go to the go pro website and look at the section about support. They show you the settings for the above posters app which is free.
