A new trackday video I just finished...

I had a blast with a bunch of my friends from the motorcycleaddicts.org site at Grattan Raceway in Michigan last week. Here's the YouTube version of a video I put together using footage from the trip. I hope you like it:

The high-res version is way cooler; I just hate the way YouTube trashes the video resolution. Right-click and save either of these to see a higher quality movie:

The ultra-super-high-res mpeg version (almost 300 MB):

And the smaller Flash version, a little better than YouTube:

Thanks. I do have a slipper, but still blip the throttle - both because it's good practice, and also because it smooths corner entry just that much more.

Nice video! How many bullet cams are you using? I'm counting 4 and take it you just switch in between sessions?!?

Thanks! Actually, just one cam that I rotate around different position on the bike in the various sessions. Then I splice it together using video editing software.

You can see the cam clamped to my fairing (and even the little pouch with the camera unit attached to my triple clamp) in this pic:

The downloadable vid is superb. Do you have somewhere where you describe your camera setup?

Thanks! I don't really have a description somewhere, but in that particular video I used the Viosport POV.1 camera system I bought earlier this year. I wrote a review of it here: http://www.motorcycleaddicts.org/tec...am-system.html.

I have a universal clamp mount that I also bought from Viosport, and I mount the camera on various locations around the bike. I do a bunch of laps in various sessions shooting footage from the different angles, and then splice the video together using digital video software, in this case Adobe Premiere Elements, which is fairly inexpensive and extremely capable. I pretty much always splice the video in a contiguous fashion, so that the laps "flow" properly, rather than jumping from one part of the track to another. It makes it look like I'm running several different cameras on the bike at the same time, but it's just one.

In this picture you can see the camera mounted on the front fairing:

two fingers really?!? on the 1098?!? You must have a gentle touch... If I used two I'd tuck the front trailing it in for sure.

Definitely gentle with the OEM pads, I can be a little more aggressive with the EBC HH pads I have in there now.

Another video here from the same event, in case you missed it. I didn't YouTube it, as I didn't want the sound or video quality degraded.
