A new 1098 vid I made...
Well, sort of. It's a lap of Grattan in Michigan with a friend of mine. He's in front of me on his formerly-raced-by-Larry-Pegram-superstock CBR1000RR. The other part of the screen is me (well, parts of me, anyway), and the sound is all Ducati/Termignoni.
I hope you like it! Right-click and save mpeg high-res version (77 MB): http://www.bwhip.com/images/B_B.mpg Faster-loading Flash version: http://www.bwhip.com/images/b_b.flv |

I used the new VIO POV1 (with new wide-angle lens), which I reviewed here:
http://www.motorcycleaddicts.org/tec...am-system.html You can see it clamped to the fairing in a few of the photos above. |

Nice split screen - I like the camera angle on the brake lever like that. Nice review too by the way. Last edited by Roadrunner; 07-08-2008 at 09:36 PM. |

Very impressive video quality & sound. Very cool.
Full respect to you guys for racing around that track. The surface looks very patch & irregular. (I must be spoilt with the circuits we have over here maybe?) I do like the look of the asphalt ripple-strips on the corners. Must be kinda fun. Hump on the back stright looks a bit mean. I bet you've got the shakes over that a few times! |

That hump on the back straight you mentioned was pretty tough! There are actually three of them back there that you have to deal with. I had some serious issues over the biggest one several times while on the gas - twice almost falling off the bike. I had to be very careful with the throttle until I got over it, and then could get on the gas. We were there three days, and it wasn't until the third day that I got my suspension settings just right where the bike stayed planted through the bumps. I wish I'd have figured it out a little sooner! |

Nice video!
Shows the trick to going fast. Very little coasting, you were either on the throttle or on the brakes. |

It was the motorcycleaddicts.org event, and I'm pretty sure that was my buddy Rob on his CBR1000RR.

bwhip, that was an AWESOME clip! If any, it made me feel better on trying to learn blipping while braking. I had always thought you had to keep the brake lever pressure while blipping, but I noticed that when you blip/brake, the lever actually moves forward a little. So you're braking is slightly staggered until you finish your braking?
for the past years, I've been trying to get this down. But there was no way I can hold the lever steady and blip at the same time (short'er fingers here). so i gave up on it.
