I just became a member on this forum and like what I see within this community.

Anyway, I just added 2010 Termi's to my 2010 1198s..and there is a lot of popping on decel. Nothing at startup, idle or acceleration. I know i would be getting more than stock, but this seems excessive to me.

Would a dyno help turn it down?

I have Termi's on my 2002 998s Bostrom and my friend has them on his 2008 848 without this extreme...but of course those bikes are not 1200cc's

Thanks. ]]>

I had thought about selling mine and getting some, but for the price I'm almost at bat cf wheels.
I guess my question is this.....
What are my forged wheels worth?
What do the new style go for?
How good/durable are the bst's on the street? ]]>

Picked up a GoPro Camera, mount options? http://www.ducati-superbikes.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22281&goto=newpost Wed, 08 Sep 2010 17:16:44 GMT Ok, didn't get the highspeed HD version, rather the Motorsports Hero Wide version for $149.

I'm thinking I would like to mount it on the middle/lower part of the fairing facing forward. This way you get that nice shot of the road or bike in front of you, and also your own front tire and suspension working.

There are some 3M mounts included, and a suction cup mount. The suction cup mount looks like it would work well, but is a bit bulky and I wonder about it staying put through all the vibration that the bike puts out. Anyone else use this setup?

Hi Just purchased a used 1098r and what a bike ! I am growing to love it the more I ride . I have adjusted the suspension as follows : Increased front rebound / compression by 2 clicks which has reduce the dive on the brakes and slightly improved turn-in . I ahve reduced the rear TTX comp and rebound by 4 clicks to stop it chucking me out of the seat over bumps . This has made the bike better but still no where near as good as my 09 blade . I do not see why I should go for a revalve since it is for fast street use . I weigh 180lbs any suggestions ? or should I just go to an expert for set-up ? ---cheers JP ]]> 848/1098/1198 Superbikes powerj http://www.ducati-superbikes.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22278 7500 service http://www.ducati-superbikes.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22267&goto=newpost Tue, 07 Sep 2010 16:46:13 GMT This may be redundant, but... And yes I know I have to get the TPS reset.

Can someone please direct me to some decent instructions.

But I found this in the packet that came with the bike, looks pretty good to me. :dunno

I'm not a huge HP junky so from the seat of the pants, I can already tell it has more than I need!

I have an 07 1098 that still stalls. Warranty is out by a year, will Ducati still warranty it?
Its been in the shop a total of 4 times to fix it, and still has not been fixed (correction: it used to stall and not start, now it stalls and restarts right away). The very last time it was in I got new pistons because it failed a leakdown test (not sure why they even checked that). They also said they adjusted this and adjusted that, new ECU, regulator, etc. etc. The bike had 1000 (gentle) miles on it at the time. It was in the shop for about 2 months so I've been really hesitant to take it back, but now the stalling is getting more and more aggravating, and I am unable or unwilling to live with it any longer.
I love my bike, but seriously this issue has become a nightmare. I feel like I purchased a defective, inferior product, when all I wanted (since I was 18, 14 years ago) was to own and ride a Ducati Superbike, not issue free, but definitely not issue for life!

Has any heard of this happening? Out of luck it broke while I was at a stop. The engine died at a pop from the left side of the engine. I look down and oil is dripping from the flywheel cover. I took it to the shop and the mechanic said he seen this a couple of times and even showed me a broken shaft. He said that the flywheel bolt comes loose and the flywheel just breaks of crank. At first they said it was not covered under warranty but are now checking with Ducati. Has this happened to anyone here and did they cover it under warranty? Thanks!
BTW. if you have it in the shop have them check that the bolt is tight! ]]>

I just need a quick yes or no. Will the stock Titanium full exhaust of a 1098R Troy Bayliss LE fit on a stock 1198 without modification? And if there is no CPU upgrade, what advantage would this exhaust have over the stock 1198 exhaust? The exhaust looks awesome and I assume it is lighter, so any input is greatly appreciated.

FYI: I just sold my 2003 Aprilia Tuono Racing/Factory, and am now looking at a 2009 White 1198. ]]>

The bigger question I guess would be is it worth it to even switch them out? I guess I could get a painter to do the red stripe but maybe the less unsprung weight might be worth the cost. Any thoughts with someone who has done this? ]]>
