The new parts have holes everywhere possible.

Nice stuff. So which one is the new in the pic below? In the other pixs it's obvious that the old part is on the left or top of the pixs, and new on the right or bottom.

In this pic it almost seems the new part should be the one on the left ... hollow shaft and skinny fork. ????

that´s correct, the hollow shaft and the smaller shift fork are new.

What part is this for? wheel bearings?!?

I noticed the newer part has more holes but why the staggered formation?

Hi,
that´s the freewheel clutch and flange for the starting gear,
the holes on the outer diameter are for fixing the alternator,flange and flywheel to one unit, the holes on the inner diameter were just holes.
