We started this site with good intentions and we hope to keep it a clean respectable place that 1098 members can enjoy coming to get the latest info and share their experience with the 1098.

In the last couple of days there have been a couple of people that have insulted other members and the administration of this forum. (these members are gone now)

I want to make this clear that you can disagree all you want and you can even argue back and forth as long as it's done with respect. If a Moderator or Administrator steps in and says enough. Then this should be the end of it.

We want everyone to enjoy their time here and not have to worry about trolls and people wanting to fight on the internet. So I wanted to make this clear that it will not be tolerated.

Added rule on 03/26/2007

1. From time to time the moderators or administrators will have to remove or lock a thread that has gone too far or has violated the forum rules. When and if this is done, please do not start another thread asking why the thread was deleted or locked. If you have any further questions please pm a moderator or administrator and we will be glad to discuss the issue if needed.

There have been some small issues regarding the rules of the forum that every member agreed to when signing up here. I will post these so everyone can read them if needed.

As all rules go, these will be modified on an as needed basis to best suit the members and the forum. (nothing is set in stone)

We do not confirm or warrant the accuracy, completeness of any message, and will not be held responsible for the contents or privacy of any message. All information provided by the users of this forum is considered to be experimental in nature and due to the intended use of the information offered, it is without any expressed or implied guarantee. User assumes all risk and liability. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not the views of the owners and administrators of the 1098-forum.com. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and by registering on this forum you agree to indemnify and hold harmless this forum (and any owners of this website) and their agents with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s).

UNACCEPTABLE POSTS
Do not make posts about race/racism, abortion, highly sensitive or controversial subjects, any material which is exceedingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, extremely sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violate of any law, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or any form of solicitation.

Do not make posts, avatars and/or attachments with Not Work Safe content, links, images and/or animations. This type of content will be removed, following a warning and or account suspension of the member in question.

Do not make posts that incite arguments, or any post that turns to arguments and flame wars, etc... Posts of this nature will not be tolerated and can result in the immediate closing or deletion or editing of the post and the suspension of the posting members account.

We reserve the right to close or delete any message for any or no reason whatsoever. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to report the post via the thread option “Report this post to a moderator” or contact us directly. We have the ability to close or remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame.

When a post is locked or deleted, it is for a reason. Do NOT make another post in continuation of the locked/deleted posts or your account is subject to being suspended. Do NOT make a new post demanding explanation of why a post was locked or deleted. If you would like explanation of a closed or deleted post, e-mail or private message the administrators and/or moderators of the forum.

If and when member account is suspended and/or banned, it is for a justified reason. Do NOT make a new post demanding explanation of why a such action has taken. If you would like explanation of an account suspension/ban, contact the administrators directly. If you receive an e-mail/private message from a "Moderator" addressing behavioral issues please don't take it as a personal attack. The Administrators/Moderators of the 1098-forum.com are here to assist with making this site run smoothly and this means from time to time Administrators/Moderators may offer corrective suggestions and/or advice.

Classified Ads
The " Classified Ads" section of the forum is for private sellers offering the sale of individual items. It is NOT for any person, company or business of any size or type to sell merchandise of any retail nature. Any company attempting to sell multiple quantities of items or in a retail nature without being a paying advertiser of this site is subject to being billed.

GROUP PURCHASES
Group purchases are for the benefit of this site's members and paying advertisers. Members are to post what they would like a Group Purchase on, and wait for a supporting vendor to reply and set it up from there. Group Purchases may be set up by a paying advertisers of this site ONLY. Only exception is if the sponsor(s) do not carry the item/product advertised.

Any post made containing information on a Group Purchase being handled by a company who is not a paying advertiser of this site will be locked or deleted.

Any company attempting to set up or promote a Group Purchase without being a paying advertiser of this site is subject to being billed for services.
