Ride this Saturday to Palomar (7/28)

Ok guys, I haven't ridden the bike in about a month. So it's time to hit the twisties. I'm looking to go to Palomar, and am praying it's not like last time with all the 5-0 up there. I was thinking everyone could meet at the Chevron where the 15/74 meet around 9am...kickstands up by 9:30. All the SD catz can meet us up at Mother's around 10:30am or so.

Well guys this weekend I have a date with the law. Repeat offender school all day Sat and Sun. It's a result of my dy crossing at Montezuma in February, this way I avoid a big fine and only one point on my record as opposed to the mandatory two points. And this weekend is the last weekend I can take it.

So while you're enjoying the twisties this weekend I'll be hanging out with the rest of my repeat offender buddies. What a way to spend an entire weekend. :(

Have any of you guys read what the planned ride for the 28th is on the SoCalSportsbike forum? It's 250+ miles, ACH out the back side across the 15, down to Idllywiled then to pally...

I think the same thing sometimes about going to ACH, it's down the street for you guys but far as hell for me and Arnie. I like Pally because you can go up and down a bunch of times before calling it a day and really work more on technical cornering skills...ACH is long sweepers. Plus, the road surface at Pally is 10x better than ACH.

Well, it doesn't really matter either way for me; ACH and Palomar are almost the same distance for me except the freeway ride to ACH seems much longer. If nobody wants to go to Palomar, I guess I'll see you guys at the Shell around 9am.

Nah, no replica suits this time. There's no more replica suits out there for Ducati other than the Marlboro. Can't find a Xerox or Fila suit. I saw the PU suit once but it was pulled before I can jump on it.

I actually just switched to Saturday Lvl 3, instead of Sunday because I'd like a day to rest and relax before going back to work on Monday, so do Saturday instead if you decide to go; Plus, Ron (qqqqqman) is going on Saturday, as are a couple more forum members.

"Arnie, check out the 7/28 jack thread. We jacked Mark's Pally ride within 1 post and he changed the entire ride over to ACH and didn't put up any resistance. It was pretty cool and mellow. Nobody did anything out of the ordinary but half the group got pulled over by the tree for crossing the DY.

I knew the chippie was on us so I was cruising and then JT and Jerry flew past me then the chippie flew past me and chased them down.

Kent pulled some strings and got them off by promising to buy the chippie a beer at the local cop bar. It was a fun ride though, we clowned a lot and we took over Newcomb's by playing the 7/8/07 ride dvd on their big screen while we ate. Everyone else was major hatin' but they all wanted to watch the video still of all the 1098 guys ripping up the Crest."
