I'm going to Idawild meeting up at 7am off Ramona express way and Perris blvd.. I know it's early but it's to dam hot to go play any latter. Any one want to roll. Take Ramona to hwy 243 the back side and go to the 60 fwy. It's a blast if anyone's down to ride lets roll.:threadjacked Sorry just asking

Went up there around 8:30 am saw a few sportbikes on my way down on 243 and took the 10 on the way back.

Me and 4 other buddy's road up the back side, but decided to go straight to Palm Desert. Man did we have a great ride. We cruz'd on most of the straight's because you never know who's watching?? and we burned in the corners.. Man this bike is pretty dam planted when your leaned over and the tires are pretty dam good in the 100+ heat.. the only thing I didn't like to much was the brakes, there too dam touchy. I mean if you grab'em there going to send you flying, so handle with care! On the way back we lined up and dragged a bit.. 2006R6, 2004 R1, 2004 zx10 and me. Well lets just say I though I saw front tires in the air, but I was to busy hanging on to look back. lolz Saw 165mhp on the speedo. Oh the missing bike was a new guy on an 07 gsxr 600

I saw you and your buds. Just before the T intersection at Upper Big Tujunga. We were on (2) 1098s an R1 and gsxr 600. We were on our way down the backside to the tree.

Nah, my mechanic redid my rearsets and the shifting problem went away. Today was my own fault, not the bikes. I had a really bad start and the bike launched on 1 wheel as I tried to fight to keep it down and lost a lot of time there.

I think riding the 1098s on the street is really hurting me because I am so spoiled by the power and easy handling of that bike.

Maybe I should go to RS125s or something small like that instead.

I know a guy who races WSMC on an RS125. He bought a used 600 and tried to race in the middleweight classes, but wasn't pleased with the way the 600's felt...so he's sticking to 2-strokes. I know what you mean though; the 1098 is damn near perfect. I have a trackday next month @ Fontana but I'm taking the 600, which I haven't ridden in about 7 months...should be interesting :sweat

I tried my bud's R6 and while it was light and flickable, the power delivery just sucked big time and I don't think I can go back to anything other than a big twin but the 1098s is so good that no other twin can match it either... so unless I win the lotto and can afford a 1098 racebike, I am stuck.
