Well the dude has battled major drug addictions, and has gone through severe weight gains ( at least one rumored due to anabolic steroid use ) and losses ( check out how fat he is in Angel Heart ). All of those things are very hard on your body - compound that with smoking 2 packs a day - bingo you look likeMickey Rourke.
Read all about his transformation...

Reading your post makes it even harder to fell sorry for him at any level :badteeth
I also love the the statements like "you would not understand the pressure" from Hollywood types :lmao

Ok, its unanimous then. Anyone sees his ugly ass out on a 1098 run him into a guardrail!
j/k of course ( that would be a horrific waste of a 1098 ).

Lost in translation..........:lmao :lmao :lmao :lmao :lmao
Star the cinematographic Mickey Rourke - protagonist of L'anno del Dragone, 9 weeks and 1/2, Elevator for l'inferno and del recent succeeding Sin City, del which she is turning the continuation - profiting del stay in Italy in order to participate to some television programs, has expressed desire to touch with hand one delle its greater passions: the Ducati motion, famous all over the world like symbol indiscusso of the style and the Italian passion. Mickey accompanied Rourke dall'inseparabile "friend on all fours" Loki, a likeable Chihuahua to which has not made to lack a T-shirt with logo the Ducati, has intentional to visit the entire company showing great appreciation for the exposed historical models in the Ducati Museum. Before concluding its visit with a salute to the boys who work online and with one they dull to the inside of the Desmo Bar, Mickey Rourke does not have intentional to renounce to the emotion to go up on the Ducati Desmosedici di Loris Capirossi in the Unit Run.

Yeah, the dude does not have the most attractive mug on the planet – but did you see Barfly? He plays a wretched drunk that speaks one of my favorite movie lines. He’s into his tenth or twelfth shot of the day (at 8AM) and he says, “Its not that I don’t like people, it’s just that I feel better when they’re not around…” It’s a cool and depressing movie – not the typical American ending (everyone happy), more European (everyone dead or damaged).
But then I liked the Bad Lieutenant (Harvey Keitel) and Requiem for a Dream (Jared Leto, Jennifer Connelly, and Marlon Wayans) – don’t think I took a breath the last half hour of that one – talk about intense… damn.

He quit acting over 10 years ago, and actually became a professional boxer! As you can see he got the crap beat outta him too many times, its not a bad facelift or anything like that. All this in addition to the numerous addictions will make you look like him. He just recently made the movie "The wrestler" that was actually nominated for an academy award. The guy has had a helluva life.

We shouldn't be so quick to judge. My understanding is he was abused by his father as a child. Our childhood experiences always impact our adulthood whether we want it to or not. Maybe it's rubbish but who knows what challenges he has faced in his, I think he readily admits his demise in Hollywood and life in general was his own doing in his defence.
