My deepest thanks go out to all you SoCal's for showing me a good time over my long Memorial Day weekend! Fantastic riding all 4 days, 1000mi in total for me! I will give a ride report of all the rides when I get home tonight but I wanted to send a shout out to the following Forum members who looked after me:

Pringle (Tony): Thanks for being the 1st SoCal to show me around. The canyons were awsome and I don't think either of us will ever forget the MV F4 1000 rider and her G-String!

Nucking Futs (Arnie): The leathers were for you bro! By the way, how do you get to Pro Italia from here?

1st Duc (Anthony)- You made it 3 out of the 4 days and did a great job keeping up, you're allright in my book!

Ice Pick06 (Mark)- Good riding with you man, I'll see you out on the racetrack!

1098Bandit (Julio)- Thanks for showing me the way through ACH, you set a great pace! It was a blast riding with you.

qqqqqqman (Ron)- I'm glad I finally got the chance to meet you, it was great riding with you!

Lawman800 (Will)- It was great to meet you, I hope the races went well on Sunday?

Ara (Ara)- It was good seeing you again, thanks for leading us up to LVR-33, that was AWSOME!

Yeah Devin nice riding with you too, I did take notes...

Gentrification, or urban gentrification, is a phenomenon in which low-cost, physically deteriorated neighborhoods (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neighborhood) undergo physical renovation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renovation) and an increase in property (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_estate) values (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Value_%28economics%29), along with an influx of wealthier residents who may displace the prior residents

And for Tracy:

In plane geometry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plane_geometry), a line (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Line_%28mathematics%29) is tangent to a curve (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curve), at some point (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Point_%28geometry%29), if both line and curve (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curve) pass through the point with the same direction. Such a line is called the tangent line (or tangent). The tangent line is the best straight-line approximation to the curve at that point. The curve, at point P, has the same slope (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slope) as a tangent line passing through P. The slope of a tangent line can be approximated by a secant line (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secant_line). It is a mistake to think of tangents as lines which intersect a curve at only one single point. There are tangents which intersect curves at several points (as in the following example), and there are non-tangential lines which intersect curves at only one single point. (Note that in the important case of a conic section (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conic_section), such as a circle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circle), the tangent line will intersect the curve at only one point.) It is also possible for a line to be a double tangent, when it is tangent to the same curve at two distinct points. Higher numbers of tangent points are possible. In the following diagram, a red line intersects the black curve at two points. It is tangent to the curve at the point indicated by the dot.

I had a blast riding with you too Devin, & you crack me up man :lolHopefully we'll meet up at Laguna Moto GP this year, & you'll have another amazing story to share :popcornBTW: I was a RE major in college so I studied the gentrification process a lot. If anybody has ever watched the movie "Boyz In the Hood" Lawrence Fishburne's character does a great job of explaining the concept to the neighborhood youth :)

Devin,

You are a real good rider and a true gentleman. You're a fun guy too.
I'll try to make it up to your neck of the woods this year.
I'm sure I'll see you at Laguna in July. I'm going to the AMA race there in September also.

Stay safe, we'll talk soon.

Devin;

You are very welcome. It was a pleasure finally getting to meet you; and yes you backed up your street cred:notworthy . You are welcome in my town any time. I spent yesterday at Buttonwillow on the PS1000LE. I thought about taking the TC,but I am not that confident on her yet. There were several 1098's there. I even saw a black S. I will tell you though that after riding the 1098 my skills at the track were much better than the last time. I was hitting good lines and riding much harder and faster than ever before. I was constantly hitting the 9,500 rev limiter in 2,3 and 4th gear.:shock . I even had an extra thrill on bus stop when I hit the throttle so hard that the front end came off the ground and I had a little head shake-HOWLY CRAP as Frank on Everyone Loves Raymond would say.

It was probably a good thing that I did'nt take the 1098.

Once again thanks for the ride and I am looking to travel up and riding in your back yard.:1

Glad to hear BW went well. It always helps to have a fresh, aggressive ride still in your mind when you hit the track. It helps to speed up your brain, I always am faster on day 2 of a race weekend! Your a great rider, I look forward to riding with you again in the future!
