Is there really a need for all this segmentation? I dont like this development, first 1098, 1098S, 1098TC, now even 848, 1188(bikes that doesn't even exist yet, right?). Soon there will be a forum part called 1098 Yellow, 1098S Yellow, 1098 black and so on.

You can just type in 848 in the thread topic and then people who are interested in that can read.

I am interested in most threads about the new superbike but now I have to go thru 6 sections.

I'm also, as many here, registred on ducati.ms and the superbike, supersport categories seems to work really well there. And they have more users than here.

So, I cant see the need to have a dedicated section about every different partnumber of ducatis.

Well, one of our forum members asked to have an 848 forum created, so we thought it be nice to have. The good thing is that these forums are clearly marked, so if you are not interested in a section, just don't click. :thumbup

The main focus right is the 1098 and we have not steered from it. :beer

Yes, I know how it work. trying to make everone happy. Difficult and really, a minor issue. :)

So if I wanted a 1098 Yellow section, you would create one? :biggrin

I want to read and be updated as much as possible, this is taking more time if I have to keep track of 6 sections on this forum compared to 1 on ducati.ms. :old

That would be a NO on the Yellow only section :bitchslap :lmao

As far as being updated all you have to do is hit the new post button and you will know where the new post are, or just subscribe to articles you are interested in and that will cut down on your searching time as well. :beer

This site is not even a month old yet and has almost 500 members, we are trying to make everyone happy, and I'm sure changes will take place as we listen to helpful hints like yours. :beer

Well said Biga

as for them having more members than us............ :lmao give me a break, we have been live for three weeks or so...... :lmao

And I clearly state this is not a competition here, I could care less about other sites or how many members they have.

The "new post" feature is very suitable for seeing what's going on and also the "Today's Post"

I'm not sure of anyone that actually just opens one section, but I'm sure there are a few.

As for sections, I don't' see anymore being added anytime soon, but the members here dictate what we do so with that said.... you never know.

Also if anyone would like a forum with one section I can make them one for a little pocket change. :lmao :lmao

NO response I noticed to my request for a FAQ section to avoid the plague of repetitive questions about which exhausts come with which bike, what comes with the Tricolore what doesn't. Is it not time to have one? It would save people posing the same relentless questions over and over again, as all they would have to do would be too look up the relevant answer and negate the need to post up in the first place, or where no such question is covered, post theirs up.

I was the one who asking about it. :wflag The 848 is more closer to reality than the 1188 since the 1098 isn't available in yellow (yet) and images of a yellow ducati have been streaming around the internet. It only makes sense to have a forum for it since its going to be almost identical to the 1098! :Jiggy

Actually that is in the works and will happen, at this point we are waiting on more facutal information to put it together though.

Good news. Look forward to it. Now if you could only wave a magic wand and get people to respond to my pleas for more SPS photshopped pictures of the 1098S that would be great!!!!

Good info here guys, I'll take a look at things and see where we want to go with it. I totally agree that TOO MANY catagories are a bad thing, we might have to cut back a bit but we'll see.. Then again, we need to please the public :)

The main thing is, we have the forum, it is super successful thus far, and a few growing pains along the way are to be expected. The #1 focus is the 1098, and sometimes I do think 3 forums (base, S, Tri) are a bit much, but it is working for now.

Bottom line, there might be a few changes, but they will be for the best!

I agree - too many different forums. A consolidated forum with a usable search function would do nicely and ensure far more traffic for each post.

Nice work setting it all up, though!
