last week there were no cops. According to Will (Lawman800), Saturdays are the best days to go if you want to avoid cops. Regardless, the best thing to do is take off from the Shell and let a few antsy people go ahead so they attract all the attention

Depending on the suit you want, there's a few different lines on the Arlen Ness collection, to include the Berik and Madif lines. The Arlen Ness is the most expensive with the Nakano race replica going for about $2,000 while the Berik and Madif can be from $900 to $1,200.

However, if you want the full boat kangaroo Nakano with the nifty 3 piece titanium plates on the shoulders, you gotta pay the price.

I'll wear my Arlen Ness roo suit this weekend so you can check it out. I might spring for this white/red Madif suit that I've been eyeing. It has the big Arlen Ness dragons flanking the back on each side of the hump, it's very cool looking.

Duc and bandit and anyone else would be more than welcomed to join either day. The more 1098 bikes the better. We can show them that Ducati can be just as plentiful as the run of the mill Japanese bikes!

I keep to the speed limit and I've not had problems up at the Crest. Arnie and Mark can vouch for my strict adherence to the speed limit. Guess that makes me the resident SPEED (LIMIT) DEMON!

We had 5 1098s today. There was another coming down as we went up and 1 parked away from us in another group. Then we ran into a black one at the Shell after the ride. These things are everywhere! Ironically, I did not see 1 ZX10R or ZX6R today.

We were trouble free, which is a lot from a bunch of ducks.

I agree, it was nice riding with you guys (Ron, Mark, Will, Ari, Chris, Brad). You guys have a brisk pace no squid moves! had a lot of fun. I can tell I'm going to be comfortable riding with this group, as I can see some of you are already are (Mark Ari).

The bike is awsome too, getting better aquainted with her a little more everyday. She's strong out of turns and stops by thinking about it. Never had to do such little work to get to newcombs before.

And will! I spent all morning with ya and I dont think your an ars, is something wrong with me?

Good to meet all the SoCal 1098ers today. Good to ride with Arnie & Icepick again and got to meet 1stDuck & Qman. 1 of these days we really got to get more guys together like Ara and Larry and that guy on the Black S.

Christian, there were 8 today total. 1 1098 came down as we went up, 1 was parked elsewhere and was with a group of Japanese bikes, then there was the black S at the Shell afterwards. They're getting too common!

He was an adjuster for Farmers when I met him. He worked in the insurance biz for 10 years. Now he does recruiting for the insurance biz. I'm glad you guys had a good time. Terry tells me that he is a better rider now than before he went out with you. He has a ways to go, no doubt, but he's got the bug. You should be seeing plenty more of him.

I took him to a trackday with me once. I was working the corner for Team AZ which allowed me to ride for free (I did this gig for 6 years, lots of free track time!) I sent him out on my R1 for a session or two. It wasn't pretty but at least he can say he's done it. I think we might get him on track for real this year!
