When the forum went private it lost that edge..zing..pizazz it's just not the same it feels like a pay site or something. is it just me or is there a freedom missing? was it too hard to maintain or not exclusive enough? can someone explain? it seemed like there were more non 1098 owners getting to know Ducati when there was a open side to the forum.:dunno im sorry if this was covered in another post and i missed it.

this isn't a PRIVATE forum
we just wanted folks to REGISTER in order to VIEW the threads

no one is obligated to PAY anything (though... if you get useful info here and enjoy your stay..... then a few bucks to help support the cost of the FASTEST SERVER ON THE NET, would be nice, quite frankly)

if you want to enjoy the forum.... you need to register
it only takes a minute

hopefully, it will encourage folk to say a proper "HELLO" and join in on all the fun, learning, and friendship

Not all of the forum is private.... only the main bike sections....

If this doesn't work then we can open it back up again.

It's a trial and error thing. :)

Thanks for speaking up though

btw- I''m a non 1098 guy that is learning to be... :lmao :)

I just opened everything except for the 1098 section and the bike section... all other areas are open.

We will see how this goes and make adjustments as needed.

not strange at all
there ARE "feelings" here
this place is quickly becoming "FAMILY" to many of us....
me included... and, i hope..... YOU

as R1Lover said.... if we have made a mistake in your eyes..... that was not our intention

we wanted to ENCOURAGE folks to JOIN even if they don't own a ducati

afterall, the 2 owners of this forum
Phil
R1Lover own NO ducatis

but, i DO see your point
we appreciate this thread

open dialogue is always important

Actually Phil does have a 748 ;)

and most likely we will both have a 1098 in the stables early next year.

Time will tell though.....

I agree with that, we were just trying to find what is best... I think maybe the way it is now will be good. The nice thing is we can always change it based on the input from you guys. ;)
