First service is now complete with 1200kms on clock.
Brisbane Motorcycles listened for 10 minutes as i detailed a list of minor issues.

ohlins fork weeping, now fixed
throttle cabble stretched, now adjusted
stalled half a dozen times, they believe it is the ECU, they would order a new one but their is no update yet.
idle screw was loose, ie idle would drop to 1100 rpm, the bike stalled most at this rpm. Since it has been adjusted correctly it has not stalled since.
i presented the recall fax, tensioners all clear.
crankcase oil breather weep fixed, it was coming from somewhere above.
front brakes bled, i believe their is too much lever travel before brakes come on, this did not change.
new oil in, Shell Ultra 4 has transformed the gear box and removed some of the 4000-5000rpm vibes.
overall very happy with service done, they genuinely seemed interested in getting it right.Total service cost was $179.50

I was not charged any labour for warranty related investigations.

Cheers Shane.

It's pretty amazing how much the same service costs vary from dealer to dealer.

Yeah I got quoted $350 at two dealers in Sydney ( Frasers & NorthSide MC )! :warning

What can I do?

Anyway what I have planned.

- 14T ordered for the front
- Full Termi tune ( installing myself, But getting them to tune )
Also I brush polished the system by the way. Looks nice :)
- Front suspension feels loose, When I hit bumps I can feel I knock somewhere, Dont know what it it.
- No other issue's really. Just cant wait for the exhaust. I depresses me not to hear the sweet deep termi sound :drool

The front knocking sound over bumps could be loose steering head bearings, elsewhere on this forum are similar posts.
Ducati only allow 1-1.5 hrs labour plus oil, filter, sundries for the first service. Should be between $180-$220.
You should not have to pay for warranty related labour, ie steering head bearing adjustment, cam belt tensioner check, etc.
However, it is hard to argue with your Ducati Authorised mechanic when you are trying to build a repore.
Let us know how it goes.
Some pics of headers would be good too!!
Cheers.

When I hit bumps I can feel I knock somewhere,

You're not bottoming out are you? Maybe put a cable tie on one of the tubes and see if that's what's happening?

Ahh thanks shogan, Your right.

Phil 1098 mentioned this.
"Mine has 325 so it isn't looking good. Call your dealer for the VIN range, but mine is 1967 and it fell inside it. Something like 1,400-2,060 or something or another, I don't remember exactly, just that mine is in the soup."

Mines 1945 so it falls in the range.

Will definately post some pics mate, Just waiting on the hugger in speedymoto clutch covers :drool

I bought mine from Zagame (or Ducati Melbourne) in Richmond.

I enquired about the cost of servicing before I bought it and got quoted "around the $260 mark" for the first service. I managed to twist the salesmans arm a bit and get it thrown in for free with the purchase price of the bike and Termis.

I haven't been to have mine done yet, still only got 600 km on the clock. I'll be getting it done in a couple of weeks and the Termis will be put on then.

Mmmm.... Termis... :drool

But yeah, they should charge around $260...

Mine cost a bit more than that... although i had DP clutch plate and cover fitted, clear alternatives tail light and fender eliminator all done at the same time.

Looks nice and clean from the rear now.
