Call this a premature announcement (since very few of us have a 1098)!

How bout a Michigan role call of who's from Michigan, who's got one and who's waiting? Eventually we'll get enough with bikes we can agree on a meeting spot.

I'm waiting, not so patiently for Rosenau...

I picked mine up yesterday (3/31) and trailered it home. I think you got yours delivered?

I had one hell of an April Fools today. Washed and waxed it after the rain quit and then put on 130 miles of back road romping. On and off the gas all afternoon with a few sprints up to 7,000rpm. Gas mileage was 31mpg - not bad! Reserve light came on at about 80 miles and then it began to count how many miles I'd done on reserve. It only took 2.9 gallons after 14 miles on reserve - something doesn't add up? I need to run the thing dry and then fill up and see what happens.

Stalled many. many times. It didn't bother me too much because it fired up every time. I think I'll bump the idle speed up a notch - if I held the throttle open just a bit it wouldn't stall. I'm told a fix is in the works.

With the unexpected warm and sunny weather I'm hoping you got yours out and piled on some miles?

I'm in Michigan (from Minnesota) but I don't have one.

In fact I'm not even waiting for one... yet!

Maybe I shouldn't have admitted that??? :getout

From your signature you appear to have a Ducati fleet so I can understand not waiting for a 1098. This is my first Duc and I was getting ready to sue Ducati for cruel and unusual punishment for making me do the 100 day wait.

With this crappy Michigan weather (WINTER Part II!) I'll bet you're waiting to ride one of them.

Mine is gradually migrating into the house - all the plastic is off and in the spare room getting "Tankslapped". FAK that 3M stuff takes patience.

still waiting.....only 90 some odd days here. Rosenau said I'm up to number 6 on the list. we'll see if she gets here before the snow flies in November (just kidding)

Thanks to the wonderful Michigan weather I could only get 160 break-in miles on the 1098 - not enough to take it on the first big ride of the year.:dunno

Sooooo, it sits in the garage this weekend while I take the Honda ST1100 for a 1300 mile weekend ride through the Ozarks (Missouri and Arkansas). Sure would've been sweet to take the Duc:whip

I guess I have nothing to complain about - at least I have a 1098 to look at.

There's a bike night on Monday's in Battle Creek at the comedy club. It's a pretty good hangout. Has anyone else been to it?
