Hey guys. the weather is starting to turn! Time to meet up for a ride, or head to Summit for a track day.
I live 20 miles form the track and 45 minutes to 2 hours from either city. Depending on the time of day.:)

I am in Northern VA. The roads are still wet this morning but I hope that tomorrow will be dryer and warmer. BTW, I noticed in one of your posts that you got your bike at Donnie's right?!
I am getting my TC from him as well.
Best regards and see you around

Roundabout playing in traffic going back home [monoblocks saved my ass from a cage. again]; pulled in 8:00; swapped bikes; on Monster 8:15. back down 66 to Rock Creek & Adams Morgan; zipped down M st, back to GW, Spout Run, 66, home at 9:30.
Got my RDA [Recommended Ducati Allowance]. I love these bikes. Shazam!!!

There is absolutely no way you have a wife and kids. I'd say that i hate you, but it's just jealousy. I'm nearly caught back up, so it's 20 degrees cooler today. I still think I'm gonna run over to Berkeley Springs. I get grumpy if i don't get to ride my 1098 for a few days.

A cool my bro has his own graphic design (mostly screenprinting) bus up in Long Island. Loves it, but he's nuts and works 7 days/week.
Wife & kids? Ah, nope. I refuse to grow up. But I do have two babies - one is 8 and black, the other is 1 and red. I keep them locked up in my garage, when I'm not beating the hell out of them.

Say Weldingshop, do you have a welding shop? I'm having a hell of a time getting the cats out of a spare set of cans I have. I was thinking an acetylene or plasma cutter would do the job nicely. And maybe hollow the rest of the can out too. Stuff some cherrybomb parts in there.

HA!!! I've been wondering if that would work for me too. I'm afraid she'd get the bikes in the settlement. Purely out of spite, but hell that's what divorce is for.
Still... the 944ss custom that DucPond built might be worth it.

Oh sure, bring that up again. As if my Catholic guilt will ever let me live it down. At least I have the excuse of trying to keep up with the guy on the Honda, since i had no idea where the hell I was. That was a rickety-ass road.

i remember Clinton Cylcles - took my Mo there for the 7500. I think they left it outside for a week. In the rain. I've seen a bunch of Monster's on the side of Donnie's place to - is that SOP? No way in hell my 1098 will ever sleep outside.
Speaking of rain, anybody got a reliable update for tomorrow? And when does the D16 kick off?
Assuming everybody did not presently give their Man the finger and are off riding today (James, I suppose you could give yourself the finger :lol)

Grasshawpah. Power is nothing without control. 1098 stall again? j/k. Take it easy on the walls and doors big guy.
Weather was perfect and the track was sticky. The cars ripped a huge pothole in turn 3, so they patched it and coned it off. Usually a pretty fast lefthander turned into a slow kink.
Lots of guys running off the track and/or crashing in the 1st 3 sessions. So, the morning was pretty slow for me. By the end of the day I was almost back up to speed. Right where I wanted to be for the 1st trackday of the year and the first time out on the 1098.
It was a blast and I can't wait to get back out there. I'll post pics when I get them.

Noisy neighbors (apartment) + late + thin sheetrock = fist right through sheetrock. It was either fist through the wall & metal door or my neighbor. Latter would've been far more satisfying. Big dent in their door. Knuckle messed up. Feel like idiot.

Yes, it's the thought of consequences that typically keeps me in check. Noise again Fri at 3-4am; next morning left them a note and talked to management, who also left them a note. It's just a couple of nice yet dumb bimbos (early 20's, probably Marymount students) that live there. It should be fine, and I'm month-month now (at $2k/month, son of a) so I'll be out soonish anyway. I'm more concerned about being charged for a new metal door, due to the giant knuckle dents in it!
On the plus side, had a FANTASTIC ride on Sat - found some great roads off of John Marshall highway - one was called Freestate, have to google earth to find the others - one went through state park (?). Brilliant day - until after my 2nd fill-up she started stalling (200+ miles). But even that didn't bother me.
