perhaps that same fortune will come my way! congratulations on your bike. i can only imagine how excited you are. i suppose you'll be online all nite tonite, eh? i certainly dont think i'll be sleeping the nite before i go get mine.

as to when its coming?? well, i'm getting a black so i havent heard ANYTHING other than may/june. i'm looking at may and praying for april!!

LOL yeah, I'm pretty antsy! What makes it even worse is that I actually have to go to work tomorrow. I was gonna take the day off, pick the bike up in the morning, and then play the rest of the day but I got tapped for a meeting I can't get out of. Aaaarrrrgghhh!!!

Who did you order your bike through? I know Matison in Raleigh had a black S model in their que but I don't know if anyone bought it. The offered it to me when I first ordered mine on the open-house weekend but I was adamant about wanting a red one.

i'm getting my bike at Touring Sport in Greenville, SC. they were rationed one Black and its mine. i paid my deposit in early january (first week, i think).

The first pics. As previously mentioned, 2007 1098s, bone stock. The only modification so far is the removal of the passenger pegs, and I only did that after I took these pics. I'll post my 200 mile report later tonight.

That's where mine came from. They got two S models and a base in last week. When I got there to pick up mine the other S owner was getting his as well. Don't know what happened to the base, I never saw it. Who's your salesman?

Bo is my salesman. I just talked to him today, couldn't wait, he said no more bases yet but he informed me that two S's had unexpected been delivered last. One of which was evidently yours. He further mentioned that he finally got to ride one of them as one of the customers was nice enough to let him take it for a spin. In his words - "absoluetly the best bike he has ever thrown a leg over". Previously, I had an ongoing commitment to him that he could ride mine when it came in.

In any event, still waiting and as weather gets nicer it gets harder.

Anyone doing the Ducks Along the Blue Ridge, May 4-6 in Mt. Airy, NC?

Yep, one of those was mine. They new one of the S models was coming but thought that was the last of their allocation. Turns out Ducati gave them an extra to use for the open house so the guy that was first on the list got his earlier than he would have otherwise and I got the leftover. I don't know which salesman Bo is but I know that my salesman (Chris) and another guy took both S models out for a 10-mile test ride. Mine had a problem with the relay that controls the headlights so they brought it back, changed the relay, and then somebody put another 7 miles on it so mine had 17 when I picked it up. Chris has raved about how much he likes the bike every time I talk to him. He told me earlier this week he wants to get one to race.

My fiancee and I are signed up. We have a potential conflict but if it works out the way we think we'll be there. I really hope so, I've never done it and I think it'd be awesome.

my bike may not be here in time for DABR, but i plan to be at CMP for the USDESMO trackday on 5/21. wont be on the track that day, but will ride down to check everybody out.
