Scott (scott1960@earthl)
joined us today on the (nearly) maiden voyage of his 1098.
Vernon (Trinity636) 1098 is still a few weeks away from arriving
and i was on my BMW K1200GT
we rode 200 miles together and had a wonderful time
The day began at the Yahala Bakery
www.yalahabakery.com
the best-known German bakery south of Helen, Georgia (and better than MOST there)
there was a great Bluegrass festival going on
they were playing songs, not only from Kentucky and Tennessee, but from Vermont,etc...
after that we rode through Howie In The Hills and Eustis, and Paisley... it was a great day
Scott will comment later with a "RIDE REPORT"
i brought my new Fuji F30 and took some pictures of this fantastic day. by the way... it was 80 with barely a cloud in the sky..... just awesome.... scott took us to some desolate places with wonderful sweepers and florida-style twisties.
here are some pictures:

Looks like you had a lot of fun!
The clutch cover is hot. What a great idea for a design...
I reckon the party was not yet in full swing. The folks must have waited for you to leave... ;)
btw: the white bread was not from the German bakery, was it? At least it is not a German receipe for sure.
Thanks for the story!

wow ty greg for posting all the pics way to kind. but as most of you know greg , vernon and myself had to keep greg at bay, and remind him of his lovely wife while the elder ladies were eyeing him lol jk. :poke . the bakery in my area is well known as greg mentioned so we were able to get there at the right time as space was filling fast. the ride we went on i usually do when im alone, riding is my therapy from work and enjoy the country. i started by taking my friends across lake harris ( one of my lakes im responsible for ) then through astatula to what we locals call the triangle. not bad roads but i only ride it saturdays for the sport bike crowds generally ride it on sundays so you can guess more heavily patroled than on saturdays. took them around to the summit ( lol ) of sugarloaf mountain to an overlook of lake apopka , was overcast so you cant see the lake. from there we went through tavares alongside another of my lakes called lake eustis. enroute to umatilla. to rt 450 higher speed sweepers limited traffic to sr 42 then to emeralda marsh rd alot more technical with many left right hairpins. and a 2-3 mile straight a way which i call the tunnel straight ( tree canopy covers some of it ) . the bike is awesome i know vernon who was behind me was yawning lol but only being at 6000 rpm i was holding him back and greg can ride that bmw very well.all in all i enjoyed our time very much and looking forward to more in the future. may if phil reads this when he comes down to see greg he will bring his baby with him and we will be able to ride as well. thanks again to greg and vernon for a fantastic day

lol ty , i was trying to figure out what i wanted and decided to do alittle of everything just to break the color scheme up a bit, and seems to have worked out well. everyone who has seen it really liked it. probably put way to much thought behind it but i guess its the female side we all have. ( did i just say that ?):dunno :laugh

Old school bluegrass musicians don't smile when they play... at least that's what I remember from some of the festivals I used to get dragged to in my younger days.

I know I'm late responding on this thread, but IcePick06, you DO look like Tiger!
As for the Denzel comments... I wish I had his money!
As for the ride, it WAS a great day and the band was a trip (the crowd was having a good time - kinda fun watching older couples "getting down" on the outside dance floor)
