We have about 30 to 60 dogs at any given time and they are all like kids. Sadly, they are unwanted abandoned kids. My son is in Vet school at Auburn and has had a 501c3 animal rescue since he was 16. www.crar.org So these are my pets. :)

Here are my kids:

"Luke" (chow-golden mix) and "Lil' Girl" (Heinz 57 mutt),
"Michi-Moto" (Cavachon, which is 1/2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and 1/2 Bichon Frise) (this shot was taken last year at Infineon Raceway watching Daddy go zoom-zoom around the track), and "Pudgey" aka "The Grumpy Old Man" (half Corgi and half Cocker Spaniel).

All of the dogs except Michi-Moto are rescues from the pound. They're all great family members...no college funds, no cars to buy, etc. They only require love, good food, a tummy rub each day and a good place to poop!!

So are the weimies better in pairs? I would think they would keep each other amused a bit more.

Here is Smoke , The dalmation and Napoleon the Boston terror !

Smoke is a rescued dalmation that was abused by his owner. He was beat , starved and on a 3 foot chain , His empty food bowl was 4 foot away when we picked him up. he has a cigarette burn on his back and tail was broken before I got him . The tail now has a hump in it. THANKS WALT DISNEY. (101 Dalmations):bang He was a little over a year old when we saved him . He is now 7 . He really doesnt like stranger and is still alittle jumpy . He is a awsome dog now. Has been a good friend and helped me more than I have helped him.

Napoleon , He is my wifes dog . Titty Baby !!! Can be a bad ass . He likes to play rough. We call him Nappy for short . He is 6 years old . He is a good dog. Follows my wife around everywhere. Nappy thinks he IS the king !

Absolutely, they keep each other company and love to run and play together.

Its funny because Whylee is the typical weim who has all the issues and Marlee is a polar opposite and loves to chill.

When we finally got Marlee he's almost three(july), almost all of whylee's seperation anxiety and misbehavior disolved.

So yeah get two if your thinking of getting one, and it sounds like you already know alot about the breed.

Hardcore: GOOD ON YOU MATE:) I always hate those stories but love it when they find a good caring home. I wish more of this happened.

Just in the news last night I heard of a break in, the guy was beaten and his dog burned alive. The first thing I fealt was extreme anger for the dog killer and wished he would attempt this on my family to have the barrell of my glock .40 nocking off three clips in his waste of skin.

Well like I said my brother has one. A little too high energy for me. I suppose if I could get past the puppy stage it wouldn't be so bad. His is a female but very large for a female. She cost him a small fortune with her antics and the subsequent training. I am not into big dogs. I grew up with a Toy Poodle and then a Chihuahua. The average weight between the 2 is 7lbs. Yes, I know some people think they are fake or call them rats or whatever but I like a dog I can hold and putz around with, not a dog that could out run me, or rescue avalanche victims. I won't use a bigger dog for it's purpose so to me why have one? A little dog drops a little gift, and a big dog drops a big gift. I prefer the smaller gifts :cool

I used to have a Beagle. She was supposed to be 12 lbs and when I gave her away at about 8 months she was already 22 lbs. The guy who got her already had another beagle so she is probably much happier now with a live chew pal. She didn't bark hardly at all, which is what I was prepared for but she liked to dig too much in the yard so I couldn't leave her out there unless I was home and if she was in the house, her and the cats would fight and she would chew on all the expensive stuff. Leather couch, oak table and chairs, baseboards, carpet. Anything really. Only when we weren't home.

Got divorced after I gave her away so no dog and no more cats either (they belonged to the ex-wife).

Yeah these dogs require ALOT of attention and training.

So being alone in the house you must get yourself a little dogg, there a blast in all shapes and colors:)
