:1. Nice bike though man, and congrats. We have to do a ride when I get mine in a couple weeks. Hey, I didn't know Spectrum made their "own" clutch covers? How much were they and who actually manufactures them?

Hey hey, don't be hatin' on my cover. :haha

Paulymoto did a custom for Spectrum. $179 is retail if I'm not mistaken.

Great looking bike. Did you have the end of the slip on ceramic coated too or is it just the headers? Also what tye of black is it. It looks like flat black. I was told that there also is a type of jet black.

Just the headers are ceramic coated. They have many different colors to choose from but I chose the flat black.

Can you please post a pic where the headers meet the slip on. Appreciate your help.

No, it's not that much taller than the 996. My feet are flat on the 996 and on the 1098 my heel is barely off the ground. You shouldn't have a problem with it.

My pug likes her head band. :hooray

Thank you. I'm considering riding it back home to NM from Cali. I think I'll stuff a backpack make a trip out of it.
Tell the truth. Do you go out to the garage and stare ALOT when no one is looking?? I know you do! Congrats. It's good to see some progress on the delivery of these 1098's. I wish you happy riding.......

That would be a great trip if you decide to do that. How long will that take do you know?

Yes you busted me! It's hard not to stare at this thing. Particularly after today, I took her on a 300 mile ride through my favorite twistys today. Wow! The handling is amazing, feels like a 600.

Hope you get yours soon!

Actually I think it complements the gold Ohlins well. Might not go so well with a 1098 Base though.
