My new Lid....

Well....here you go. My KBC did its job when I crashed my 636 at the track at about 90, so I bought myself a new lid.

That is one fine looking lid. How do Arais fit? Closer to Suomy or Shoei? My head is too round for a Suomy.

Arai has 3 different shapes. So depends which helmet you speak of.

The Arai Corsair RX-7 helmet is a round oval shape so if you are inbetween the round shape of the Quantum II and the oval shape of the Astral-X, then the Corsair will fit you perfectly. I have both an Astral-X and a Corsair and they fit great...especially the Corsair RX-7 :cool

Not exactly true. The Vector is replacing the Astral-X. Quantum II is like the Vector. Being more round. Corsair is between the shape of those to and the Profile. Profile is the most oval in shape.

I'm interested on buying one of the AGV Rossi's helmets, but no one carries them in the area where I live. I was wondering if any of you have any experience with Shark, Suomy, Arai, Vemar and/or Shoei? and if either of them fit the same as the AGV Rossi's? Thanks.

Anyway, anybody have any idea how AGV's fit vs. Shoei's? I'm looking for a new lid. Tried on all brands at the dealer except AVG (they no got 'em) and nothing fit as well as my Shoei RF-800. Even the Shoei 1000 (?). Suomy, Arai, Shark, whatever they all fit like crap!

Maybe my head just got goofier over the years and the 800 shrank to fit.

I tried on shoeis and it fit nicely...the only thing I didnt like was that it felt like my cheak bones were sticking out from the underside. The AGV has tons of cheak padding...I love it.
