I forgot about this and I can't find the thread where we talked about the new ones...

Here is what I came up with real quick...

Post up some ideas please... I want to change these here in a few.

:)

Forum Lurker 0-2
Forum Noob 3-24
1098 Member 25-249
1098S Member 250-499
Tri Colore Member 500 +

And then allowing editing of this title after 500 post.

:badteeth I think we should be able to edit our title after 100 posts :cool

What fun would that be.....

How about 500.... final offer :lmao

I think this should be something for the regular contributing members and of course those members will have over 500 post in a few months or less.

If it's too easy then there is not fun to it... no?

what classifies a "regular contributing member"?

500 sounds good I'll be there in 4 months or so :greg

100 posts? That's a long lunch for some of these guys.

I can't find the original post either. I think Greg deleted it. At least that's the rumor I'm spreading. :)

Ya I went looking for it for about 15 minutes... I wonder where it is?

I think maybe it was a hyjack of another thread.... but maybe not.

I also looked for it in my post history but it is no longer there. It must have gotten deleted or merged with another post because I dont show any of my replies to the post. :dunno

lol @ a mod for deleting and not knowing which one did it! silly mods!

Rhett

I guess we had some complaints.... lol

Ducati Noob has been changed to "Forum Noob"

If that's not good enough, then post 25 post and you can get to "1098 Member"

The purpose of this is not to piss anyone off, it's all in fun and trying to get lurkers to join the discussion (nothing more)

Of course...by these standards...you may be enticing folks to just post 500 pieces of junk to get up to "supreme being"...or whatever you've decided to anoint yourselves for jamming bandwidth...

What difference does it make to you whether someone joins vs. lurks....Do you stand to make financial gain via size of this forum? (BTW - I'm not knocking it...I'm a huge fan of Capitalism...Just curious). I'm hoping part of your answer includes how the growing number of actual "Members" will benefit the entire "membership" via group discounts, etc.

Its all about trying to get people to participate and not just lurk behind the scenes. There is a lot of valuable information floating around that could be shared among fellow members that might not otherwise get out.

Might ask the same question back to you.. What difference is it to you if we want more people to participate and not just lurk?

Lighten up a little, we are here to enjoy the forum, the more people we can get here to enjoy it and make friends the better.
If you don't want to join in posting up your experiences and share your knowledge then that is ok too, there are many like that and that's fine.

And concerning the financial gain............. since day one Phil & Myself have beared all the cost of keeping this place up & Running in addittion to many many hours of time. So this would be a financial LOSS not a gain. When some sponsors come online in march, it will help cover some of these cost although I can assure you it will not be a financial gain as you spoke of.

here's another thread that is getting out of hand
the next person who questions R1Lover's (R1Lover) selfless committment to this forum will be banished forever

this forum is incredible
it is PRIVATELY OWNED.... by R1Lover and Phil (who's away on "military" business)

whatever R1Lover decides to do around here is HIS business....
not only has he sacrificed his own money..... but, the time he is spending here is cutting into his family life....

so..... he's breaking his ass for YOU, at the detriment to his own well-being, and that of his family

don't question his motives again
