Will the 1098 be a track-only or street bike? Do you dare telling us what you paid for the tripple in dollars? Sometimes when I think that owning a bike in sweden is expensive I think about denmark and norway. That makes me feel so much better! :slam I only have to pay $25000 for the base model.

Hi Umekrla,
It will be used on the track and the street, i have my 996 dedicated track bike cant afford to have two only for the track. How much did i pay for my 999R Actualy it was bought in Germany so was alot cheaper than i could get it for in Denmark, as my GF is German and i only live 5 km from German\Danish border it is registerd in her name and run on German plates :) so will the 1098S :)

Yep only this time i am going for painted as apposed to stickers, i have orderd a full set of plastics from Ducati, nose cone, seat unit,fairings the lot. (as i want to keep the origional plastics)

And a UK company www.fastbikeimagery.co.uk (http://www.fastbikeimagery.co.uk) have given me a good quote on the whole paint job and clear coat

What's the price you paid for the double fairing stuff, sounds interesting. Do you ship everything to the UK to get it painted? Do you send them the design you wanted?.... ooopss all those questions...

Got a good friend works at cornerspeed http://www.cornerspeed.co.uk/ he has orderd the plastics for me price is about 1,600 + Vat so they are deleiverd direct to him, he will take them to the paint shop for me and then ship them over here to Denmark sent all the pics i could find of the 1098 in XEROX colours, the paint shop will work from them.
