Greetings! Thanks for putting the site together Phil.

Waiting for the 1098 to come out was definitely the event of the year for me. I can't wait to see one in person.

Congrats to all future owners. I don't have a deposit down; however, I think it is an extrordinary Ducati. Perhaps it will be in my garage someday!

I'm very excited about the technology that is being introduced to the public with the bike particularly the digital dash. I also very much hope traction control becomes a downloadable feature.

Anyway, you can see from my signature line that I currently have a 749 that I waited years to buy even after graduating college. Like most others here, I waited a long time to get it always craving a 748, and it is my obsession!

Welcome Joe! It's always great to have people here that are excited about the new 1098, and even for those of us that probably won't own one in 2007, we can live the dream through the pics and vids that the lucky owners share with us :)

At first, I couldn't wait to see one of the 2 Desmosedici's that are supposed to have been ordered for customers at our local dealer (I'm hoping that at least one of the future owners will allow some of us to gawk). Now, it's the 1098 that has all of my interest since I know it has a good chance of being my next Ducati!

I'm praying they will have a demo day for them, so I can get a quick fix, or will that just make me buy without proper budgeting...probably.

Previously, I've demo'd the Multi 620 and 1000 and Monster S4RS. My dealer usually has demos for everything but superbikes; however, they usually particapte in the national Ducati Demo Days, so there is possibly a chance!
