Me and my brother spent a little time before :slam
to check out a bit of the 1098S.
We could even use a few parts from my old 996 to
pimp it.. !!:sweat

hey that was cool! It looks like the bodywork is set up similar to 748/998 bodywork, at least on how it mounts to the bike. That also great you can swap over some carbon bits off older SBK. :slam

haha nothing like owning a new superbike that you can't ride.... awesome video.

question: when putting back together, did you have those "Damn'd extra screws"? ugh I hate those screws, they come from nowhere.

If i put on the stock bodywork i will use those "extra" screws also. But when i get the extra set of fairings will use dzuz
if it is possible.. :)

Guess emullo didn't checkout the owner's manual before starting. :laugh They actually show were all the side fairing screws are. They don't show you how to remove the seat fairings though.

Hehe. yeah, on the left side i missed the screw (6, fig. 58) securing the body panels to the headlamp fairing.
But on the right side there are two quick release screw things,
made from plastic, and i can't find any info in the manual on these.

I'm not use to all this, the 996 is so easier to remove the bodywork from..

I'm used to IKEA, never read the manual, just go for it.. :)
