For one, I've never done something like that before.

Secondly, I always deal in person. I want to make sure
the buyer is aware of everything, what is perfect for me, might not be for him or her.

Thirdly, there's so many scammers out there, and they getting smarter.

yeah but over the net buying .. I think the buyer takes all the risk... sight unseen (expect for pictures) and then the money is sent in advance... I think the seller mainly gets the shipping arranged, most of the time.. and then sits back...

Most of the details can be told over e-mail, phone and pics... that's what technology is for i think.. I'm just sayin'.. you want to sell yours.. he wants to buy it... sounds like a done deal :)

Here's my take.....I've done long distance transactions before. Really no thing :pop Seller does a PPI at a local dealer (pre-purchase inspection) at buyers expense the dealer calls me we discuss the findings, emails me the results, seller then emails me a copy of his drivers license and another photo ID, scans the title, registration, proof of insurance includes high resolution .jpgs of the bike, vin sticker the odometer ,when I receive the verification information. I overnight the seller a cashiers check for the agreed amount, when he receives and deposits the payment he overnights the buyer (me) the title (appropriately signed). The buyer makes arrangements with the shippers and the seller makes arrangements to meet the transportation company to witness loading.

I look at it his way......You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink:dunno . Like I said "I have cash burning a hole in my pocket"
