Mine saved and played back in WMV 10.
Also, check your security settings, sometimes when you can't download from another website it's because you have it blocked for protection.
If you left clicked on the link and it played, but you couldn't right click the link and save, it's been blocked by you.

It's saving it as a play list file, not the whole .wmv file. The file it saved is only 152 bytes in size.

Hmmm...you're right. It's like it's only saving a link to the video. 152 bytes is all mine is too. That and it needs to re-buffer it.

Worked easy for me. On a Mac with Safari. It launched in Windows Media Player. It saved it as DUCATI1098.wmv.wvx
Damn the technology!!!
I think this is the same video that my dealer has been playing in the shop on the TV.

If you tried to play it in WMV, then just go to:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/AllDownloads.aspx
download the latest version compatible with your Windows.
If you have a Mac, :dunno

1098 you're right! It might be for security reasons! Sooner or later they'll probably pull the vid from their site. :dunno
I dislike that video, all it does is make me want a 1098 even more :fact

That's the kind of PR vid a manufacturer should want widely seen. You let the net and potential customers distribute it for you. It generates more interest and, as example here, spurs more desire for the product. It does no good to deny letting people have this little motivational tease.

Yes, but the bean counters will not let that happen.
They paid for it, it is their intelectual property, so they will control it.
It's the same mindset that keeps Metallica from giving away a single free on the net to wet appetites spuring sales for an album. (just one example of many in the world)
Penny wise, pound foolish.
...so yes, I totally agree!

Yes, very foolish. They've spent those funds, yet seek to limit their own ad's value per dollar. I wonder if that's more the ad/vid production company's hands in the works. Maybe a contract with ducati to compile product promos on a dvd for sale. I think BMW did something like that last year? Then they get a cut of extra money.
