Where: Jacob K. Javits Convention Center - New York
When: 1/21/2007
Camera: Canon EOS 1DsMK II
Lenses: EF 24-70mm f/2.8 and EF 85mm f/2

Thought you guys might be interested in these. I actually went to the DC show and learned later that the F4CC would be in NY the following week. So the next Sunday I took a train up at 6:20am, shot pictures at the show and retuned on the 8:00pm train. Long day. I just felt that it was probably my only opportunity to see the bike in person.

Yeah the bike sells for $120K, but who cares. I am not going to pass judgment on MV for their pricing decision anymore that put someone down for purchasing a sculpture or some other art form. Is it worth more that the D16RR? Depends on what you’re after. Anyway, hope you enjoy the pictures and not get hung up on it being an MV or priced so high.

Thanks Hellcat, that's a close as I'll likely ever get to one. Superb images by the way, and nicely composed. I will admit that there is are lots of small details you don't get in the marketing images, the entire thing seems to have been CNC'd to within an inch of it's life, nice.

Now where can I get some of that hex shaped stainless screen material for our 1098 rads and intakes, it looks laser cut.

Isn't it a $15k watch though? That thing is insane. I would just buy 2 D16RR and be more than happy!!

Ya know James, between not being happy with how you got your 999, wanting to play doctor with Rossi, and your frequent reach around comments... I'm starting to wonder... is there something you're trying to tell us all??? :poke :)

:notworthy It looks like they machined the hole thing out of a big block of aluminum.....

Looks pretty sweet. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but it says "Brembo Forged Aluminum wheels" on the description; doesn't Brembo own Marchesini...so the wheels on the F4CC are basically the same wheels that come on the 1098S right?

So much carbon fiber:drool But I'd still rather buy 2 D16's. One for the road, one for the track.

Yep, I think you are correct. I examined the wheels on both the 1098 and the F4CC and as far as I can tell they are one and the same. What's odd about this is their limited production bikes seem to all be using the the same Marchesini wheel with the deep grooves in the spokes. My only guess is that the 1098/F4CC wheel is lighter than the more massive looking wheel which is currently being used on the F4 Senna. If you are going to use all that carbon, might as well keep the weight down in other areas.

As much as I like MV, I with you on this one ... although I would probably only get one. D16 plain kicks ass. To tell you the truth, I am surprised that some of the MVs stuff isn't more exotic. For example, the rearsets are available as off-the-shelf MV Corse parts. In fact I just ordered them for my Senna. Not saying they aren't really nice billet, but for $120K I would want one-of-a-kind for my bike. And the wheels, I would have thought that it might have gone Magnesium or something more exclusive.
