I thought that the Arrows looked good until I have seen these pictures, it has to be Termis I think, the Zards look different but overall Termis were designed along with Ducati especially for the bike. It still should have had something along the lines of the MV Augusta.

Great Shots, particularly interested to see the tail of the Xerox 1098 and see how they painted it. The Spark exhausts on Febur's stand look a little bland and I am still not convinced by the Zard layout. The Arrows appear to be the best finished products. I like IanG, liked the look of them until I saw the back. Would like to see them square on to really be sure, but hey you can't have everything. I think the problem with all these exhaust is that they all appear to be disproportionate with the back end of the bike, that is to say the seat unit tapers to a point, so whatever you hang from under it needs to conform to it's shape as tightly as possible, rather than looking like industrial sized pipes poking out. I like the originality of Zard and on most other bikes they seem to suit, as did the Arrows in the side pic posted earlier by Ultra998S. Then I looked at this "old" photo again and I'm no longer confused as to my choice of system. (Bravo Avvonico in ogni caso!!)
And that license plate bracket looks a monstosity !

Bit too cottage industry for me Ian. I think there will be better number plate hangars on the market soon enough and I never was a fan of those "tinycators". They look like something you might stick on an Airfix model. I am going down the LED route and carbon fibre. Give it a month and the market will be drowning in 1098 stuff and goodies, as this Padova expo proves. Everyone is keen on cashing in on the 1098's success and who can blame them.

I think I may revert back to liking the Termis best as well (we'll see if Akra can compete with their offering)

Looking at the three "alternatives" so far what I can conclude IMHO is: The Zard's are definitely the most original design but the ends of the slip ons remind me of someone who has had botox injections in their lips! The Arrows look like a couple of car silencers (shame as they look great from the side) and the Spark system looks like it was chiselled out of solid rock. What is missing in all these designs is flow, that is to say in keeping with the shape of the rear of the bike. I am not saying Termis are perfect but they seem the most balanced visually, so far. The only other system I have seen which looks half decent is the Quad T (is that the name). I think as others have said the jury is out until Akropovic and LeoVince unveil their offerings. Then a decision can be made.

Some additional informations about the Sparks:
The ends of the Spark are prototypes made of billet aluminium.
Spark will take an other material for the serial production probably stainless steel.
Furthermore there is no decision at this time whether the oval or square design will come.

These are for the R1 but the tip design looks so much better than all the Angelina Jolie's that I'm seeing so far :dunno

Cruciata have the prices on their website for this bodywork but no pics as yet. I am waiting for someone to produce a fully enclosed bellypan to replace the two lower panels with and keep the road crap of the underside of the engine, as was the case on my 998S
