This is a major gamble. 40% chance of rain. I'm rolling back from Duc Pond 3hr ride to SOMD. I can't wait. Looks like this might be the last chance to get them out.

Anyone care to join in the fun? Meet me half way coming back or eat somewhere? There is a italian place next to cheese cake factory in alexandria, Maggianos!!!

Anyone?

Don't punk out Andy!!!!!!!!!!!:guns

Yes I know, it's not going to be very much fun. Weather forcast is looking grim. Hopefully it clears up in the afternoon.

Looks like it's not going to happen. Weather has turned from bad to worst. Rain all day saturday, flurries in VA on sunday. I'll push it back 1 week for a safer weekend. High in low 40s for next saturday....burrrrrrrrr!

It's getting colder and colder every day. I might as well start looking into trailering it back.

I don't know if we will get to see 50. I have a feeling it's going to be a very long winter.

This weather sucks. High 45 tomorrow; I ride at a 48 min. But Hmmm. Maybe make an oil cooler cover tonight.

It was 17 in Winchester today. What the F. Average high around here is supposed to be 55. Can I get a little global warning for tomorrow?

Just broke-in the new cyls (1,000 miles, close enough) & changed oil last week, so I'm good to go to the limiter now. Goddamnit.

Ponch, must be killing you to be away from the bike for so long. Jeez 3 hrs away. That blows.

what's the word on "the oil cooler cover?" in the past i've just not got on it, (quick throttle) with lower engine temperature. Besides, cold roads spook Me.

Cooler cover is an old Monster (2v) trick - they run better without freezing oil dumping into the engine from the cooler. Wind chill factor & all. I ride all winter - it's really unusual for me to go more than 2 weeks without runing them. Keeps the bikes (& me) happy.

And I take it easy with the cold roads/salt debris. Also, I'm running a Pirelli SC3 (dual compund) on the rear of the 1098 - the harder compound in the middle takes a good bit to warm up!!!
