Hey DesertDuck,
Good to hear from a fellow 1098 rider and I'm in Albuquerque as well. We have a Ducati group that gets together for rides during the week or on weekends depending on the folks' work schedule.

This is the NM Monster Forum (NMMR) but four of us ride a 1098
and I can't say enough about how much fun these folks are.

I just became a member of that forum today. I will look for you on it. Maybe I can find out where all the Ducati's are hiding in the ABQ area. I met a few people at "Coffee at Dawn" a while back and a few at PJ's.

Post up on NMMR if you are interested in getting to know the group.
We were thinking of doing some riding practice at the Sandia Motor Raceway to get tuned up for the riding season if we get enough folks interested.
