And, once again, thanks for posting. You are exceptionally good at taking motorcycle pictures. Wonderful details, great framing... :)

The Senna F4's are so nice.
Speaking of Aryton Senna, after the death of Ratzenberger (Sat)and Senna (Sun) at the San Marino GP back in 1994, this changed the entire F1 organization forever. Safety has changed so much since then including the use of the HANS device and the collapsible steering wheel that there hasn't been a fatality since.
Check out this very touching video of F1 racers from the past that have lost their lives. *NOT TOO GRAPHIC BUT VIEW AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION* :(

Hey Hellcat, what kinda camera are those taken with?
Canon EOS 1Ds Mark II and an EF 24-70mm f/2.8L lense.
Thanks for posting, and I hope I don't banned for thinking about painting my 1098S to look like this Senna - except with red powercoated wheels to match the frame.:o

Good God great shots! I sat on one of the F4's on Firday at the show, and I continue to not fit them (6'4").
However, if I had to get an I4, I'd make it work.
Also great shots of the hugger - I'm particularely interested in finding one to adapt to the 1098 considering the worthless one I saw in the Ducati booth.
Finally, would it have be so damn hard to just use the F4 SSS instead of the one they built for the 1098? This one looks so much better.

Hellcat,
What show was this were they had the 1000R that set the land speed record for production based 1000cc bikes at Bonneville???
Great pictures as well!

This is the 2002 750cc version. Some like it better. The red frame really goes well with the red star rims.

Since Ferracci is "local" to the DC area, they brought their 1000R production land speed recorder holder down for us to look at. I spoke with them about the bike and they said it went from bone stock out of the crate to setting the record. Only two mods were made. One was to weld steel plates above the chain to protect the left foot in the event of a chain failure and the other was to lower the forks in the triple clamps. No engine or frame mods, hence the PP (Production frame - Production engine) record class.

I'm sorry, the Senna is not nearly as sexy and pretty as the 1098. I wouldn't go near that ugly seat thing if it was 10 grand.

Damn Hellcat, You could sell that camera and buy an R6 lol. I figured it had to be pretty expensive. Those pics are very nice and crystal clear. Thanks

itīs definite... by far sexiest bike on earth... the F4 :wflag
Watching this tribute brought back memories of watching that San Marino live on tv at 0400 in the morning. Senna was (and is) my favourite gp racer and this is why I am wanting to paint my 1098S in his color scheme. Very sad to watch...

Sorry Greg, I too was moved by this video. :( I just had to bring it up so those who are not aware who Aryton Senna is.
Some people look at the Senna F4's and only think about black/gray bodywork with a red frame without even knowing who is and how much his death impacted F1!
This device probably would of saved many if introduced earlier: HANS device-Head And Neck Support

i WAS watching LIVE, the day that Ayrton Senna left this world. of course, none of were told about his death until hours later, as the race went on after his accident.... as he would have wanted, undoubtedly

How do you post these huge, high resolution photographs? I keep getting a message when I try to up load them from my hard drive that they exceed the size limit and are limited to 500 pixels or something?

his aren't loaded on the forum's server
you need to upload your images to some other site
like www.smugmug.com (http://www.smugmug.com)
that's where my pictures are stored
then you can LINK them here
while this forum can HOST your images
we can't take up server space and bandwidth with FULL-SIZE pictures
smugmug is cheap
and it allows you to upload photos immediately that your family can see of events that took place that day
don't rely on the forum's server to hold your images
check out www.smugmug.com (http://www.smugmug.com) today
...
i have nothing to do with them, of course
but, THAT'S how he can "LINK" and NOT "UPLOAD" full-resolution images here

That's because he didn't uploaded them to here, but to another site and then he just linked them.
go to www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com) create your account upload your pics to there and then you just have to link them to where you want to post :beer

A Huge Senna Fan... It was that bike or a TC. The TC won this round.
Unfortunately Senna would not have been saved by the HANS.
However the HANS has saved may drivers, and I think one the of the best all around (for all types of cars) safety developements for autosports in the last 20 years.

Thanks for all those beautiful clear pictures of a very beautiful bike and tribute to Ayrton Senna.
I am with MV-999R in that I would prefer the black F41000R due to the paint scheme and price, but nonetheless both are very beautiful.

whats the senna edition differ from the F4 1000?
hellcat

whats the senna edition differ from the F4 1000?
The biggest difference is that the Senna is quite limited in that only 300 were made. There were only 92 imported into US. So if they were evenly distributed, there would be less than two bikes per state! Its hard to imagine only a couple in the State of Virginia. The exclusivity makes the bike more expensive.
The Senna has some carbon not on the base model - front & rear fenders and some other areas. It also has the very nice (IMO) Marchesini wheels. It was the wheels that got my attention originally when I saw the bike at the DC show. It also has a Sachs shock. In addition to this stuff are finishing differences. And lastly, a percent of the profits that the dealers make on the bike is sent to the Senna foundation in Brazil to help under privileged children.
