So I've been to Western Sydney for a few things, Whilst Im at blacktown I notice a storm approching, I doesnt bother me? I get to Granville for my last stop, Im picking up a bike ramp to get my bike on and off the trailer, So I get the ramp in the boot it starts to rain, no biggie right, its just rain.
I head home in the rain that grows into a classic Sydney thunder storm, Still no biggie it happens all the time, I like them there exciting, and besides Im going to drive out of it.
I hit the F6 and it kinda slows a bit, As I get nearer to Wollongong I can see the its lightly raining over the Gong, I notice some real heavy cloud cover kinda over Mt Ousley. It looked like there was a storm approching.
This assumtion was a little right and a little wrong. As I approch Bulli Tops It gets real heavy even more so after Bulli Tops, As I get about half way between Bulli Tops and Mt Ousley theres a river running across and down the road.
I crest a bend, one of the fast ones and notice a Land Cruiser ute drift from one lane to the other and at the time I thought he touched the concrete divider, As soon as I processed this Land Cruiser situation I followed him and aqua plained for an insane distance towards the same spot the Landcuiser nearly hit. I thought I would just pass through no sweat but It was the longest aqua plain ever, 150m +. In the end I had to jig on the wheel to cut through the surface water and gain traction, it worked as usual but I should have done it straight away instead of waiting, the water was running with the road direction down a big hill, you know the big dipper?
So I recover from this to see a 200SX in its last spin at the bottom of the dipper and crash into a barracade. We were going rather slow at that point. 3 cars pulled up to assist the young guy, he was alraight.
I continue on to Mt Ously proper, its pissing down and we're aqua plaining all over the place. I approched the top of Mt Ousley and I think Im having flashbacks becuse the road has changed colour? Its white and shiney. It iced up after some hail, there was an inch of Ice on the road and dudes are spinning out left and right, half way down and some cars have crashed and blocked the road......on both sides, well they didnt block the road becuase they ended up in the gaurd rails. So fuckers just park in the lane there in stopping everthing to wait it out, they didnt bother pulling over to the side, they just stopped.
After 45min of this, its first gear, drive around the carnage and decend the rest of the pass in first gear, everone follows suit. We hit the bottom of Mt Ousley and the road is flooded right next to the speed camera. So its onto the verge and skirt the flood, as Im doing this a dumbass guns it through the flood and gets caught in it. He pulls first gear and bearly makes it out, he took on some water.
As this was happening a trucky come barreling in from behind, see the car in the flood and pulls a manouver from the right lane across the left lane and onto the verge around the outside of me?
So the trucky pulls up without wipeing anyone out and matches speed, as soon as we clear the water I gunned it out of the mad house and into the safety of a clear road....far out what a trip......I made it:yahoo
