So..here's my story.
I sold my 916 a while ago then got an 04 R1 din't like it at all. Put 800 miles on it and sold it. Then got and 06 1Krr
and current. It now has 700 miles on it. Guess what...I don't like it either. I still think about my 916. Now Ducati
is having a finance deal and I can't let deals go by.
I'm thinking of getting a 1098...maybe Ducati and rekindle
my riding flame? You guys think I should do it...Im sure the
outcome of the answer is quit clear. :thumbup
I'll be checking with CCDucati and Jack Trebor to see what they can do with me trading the 06 cbr and deal on a new 1098s.

Sold my 98 916 and bought a 04 R1 also!! I thought the R1 did everything extremely well. What was your issue with it? (like my 1098 a LOT more)

First...cheap as plastic...so flimsy...
Second, all the power..i mean lots of power all top end...
make riding around town boring...
Third...didn't feel solid..hard to explain...
Just didn't feel right for me...

Having a Yamaha myself, I actually believe the Yamaha plastic and paint is far superior to the Duc's. Don't you think that now that you own a Duc again?
Don't get me wrong though, I prefer the Duc.

Can't say for the currently R1's...I can only tell you about my 04 R1...no way in hell. Them panels was as thin as paper and flimsy.
