I saw a yeller 1098 rolling of pax base last Saturday, doubled up. That's two from this base and I know the other rider. Curious if the Rider is on the forum?

Maybe I have to only Red one?...SWEET!

I often wonder where everybody is. In a year I've seen two 1098's on the road other than mine - a Tri rolling down GW PW and a red parked on the street in Ballston.

I saw 2 848's tonight. (?) Red one & one of them white ones.

Monsterboard has a "Monster spottings" thread, but the site got all crappy with ads. So no one really uses it much anymore.

Im in Manassas, Just picked up a 1098 Im prepping to race but will most likely keep the street bodywork to ride some as well for the rest of the year. Havent really decided yet.

I know of only THREE that are being ridden, the other RED one is collecting DUST... Think you might could get with the program and start riding the thing...? :nutkick

I got the new batt in, finished the integrator kit, put the pipes on. Now I just need to finish the bar end signals and mount the plate..then I'm done.

Oh and the new batt is a must. Cranks right up, no stutter!

I just drove out there today on a fact finding mission......pretty cool little, maybe mid-sized drive.

On a separate note, went to Rhodeside last Wednesday (sortof called Italian Bike Night) and low & behold a yeller, tri, and I (red) were there. Also saw an 848 pulling out as I was pulling in.

But may be a bit of a hike for you hillbillies out in SoMary :haha

Hi Ponch, I used to live just off Chancellor's Run with a red 996, didn't ride it too much there though. In April we moved to Gitmo. Not the best place for a Ducati Superbike.... 95 deg. heat and a 25-mph speed limit! Not the only Ducati here, BTW, there's a nice-looking Monster 620 on the base too.

The only other 1098 I know of in SOMD is a Tricolore ridden by a doctor from Northern Md. He practices at the Bean building in Hollywood. Other Ducati sightings: There was an Italian F-18 engineer with a Monster at Pax, and I've seen a Multistrada pulling out from that development behind the Wawa on 235 near the base too.

Have fun with the 1098, I plan on getting mine when I return in 18 months.

Lots of beers, actually! Not much else to do here, and that ain't a bad thing! If you're still in Md. you'll have no problem finding a liberal to slap, that's for sure. Man, was I happy to leave there. Plus it's too darned cold!:cold
