I don't believe you can. You can ringing Road Rocket importers but I think you'll find for Ducati in Aus it has to be a dealer.

Good to see Ducati (NFI) attempts to maintain good customer relations again, by MONOPLISING.
Buy from us or we will put you in the "Don't give a shit basket"
The taste in my mouth just gets more sour.
Only half run in now, and I've already saved them money.
Left side air duct needed realigning, rubbing on LH lower triple clamp.
Rear ball/rose joint on shift rod started to sieze, not allowing shift leaver to return to centre.
Now that I've fixed these myself, and probably anything else small that goes wrong. I wonder if this put me up the "Bum licking" pecking order?
When I bought the bike, sadly I never read the fine print about headjobs.
Thankfully the weathers good on the South coast NSW and I've had a few days off work.

Why don't you guys just buy your stuff from the Site Sponsors like everybody else?
You'll save a heap of money and probably get it quicker too!! No real reason to buy in Aus any more. Delivery takes about 1 week.
Just purchased a set of gold mag Marchesini rims from Dan Kyle.
Dan's price was about $ 3,000.00 AUS delivered.
Ducati Australia was $ 7,150.00!!!!!!

NFI are just fucking themselves if they think all the new to Ducati riders will buy all there shit from the shop at those insane prices. I priced a few things out and it just doesnt make sense to buy local it just doesnt.
I can buy a local rear CF fender deliverd for over $450 or Import a rear fender plus a CF swingarm cover for about the same price, If the prices were just little more expensive i wouldent say anything but when your talking in the thousands for stuff its clear what you should do.
One shop offers me a full Akrapvic for $3300 another for $4800 what should I do????

Exactly! i'm buying all my parts from the US at the moment.. even apparel..
like you said, if its a matter of a couple hundred dollars then ok.. buy when there's over 1K difference i doubt the average consumer is going to buy their stuff from NFI!

Right "O", we have discussed "Favourite suppliers". Lets spin this around.
Has anyone had any grief with an overseas supplier? Details?
Ordering stuff and getting it in reasonable time is not good service, it's normal service.
Who screwed you around?
I'm after a full Race Termi system/kit, I want to know who has a good deal?

Concerning Termignoni you will find it has more to do with the manufacturor than NFI, check the Termignoni website. http://www.termignoni.it/pages/ducati_2.php

Its not just NFI guys. From what I've seen its all the Australian distributors for any Ducati related products. Even the local Arrow Exhaust guys want to charge DOUBLE what you can get the stuff for in the US and that INCLUDES freight. At the end of the day we should be blaming the government not the supplier. Stuff from O/S is only cheap because they don't have pay the billions in added tax we do........
Oh and if your looking to get some gear out of the US I've had great dealings with Ducati Omaha. Good products and great service and communication on your orders....

Yeah thats right, BS, If I can't buy a Termi other than thru NFI in Aust, then NFI has done a Deal with Termi to cut the public sales out.
http://roadrocket.com.au/Files/Exhausts/termignoni.htm
Poor old Roadrocket can not import Ducati exhausts from it's (Termi)Franchisor. F&*ken NFI deal!. Roadrocket would out compete NFI!
Happy consumers!
If Termi was at fault, then overseas markets would also get affected. As you know you can buy Ducati termis in Europe, Nth USA from none Ducati Dealerships and god knows where else.

Different countries do have different rules, that being said Australia and the USA were the only countries to get a discount on the 1098 series (AUS roughly 5 grand on each model) and still you cry over an exhaust system you can buy overseas cheaper and still have it covered under warranty. If you don't want to pay the Australian price buy it from the states etc but for crying out loud stop whining for the sake of whining.

Having worked in the motorcycle industry in OZ I know the dealer costs on many items are higher than what we can buy them for retail overseas including freight in some instances. This is as a result of freight charges, local taxes, import duties and the like. Dealers don't have the huge margins you may think they do.
Bottom line guys we really should stop complaining about being able to purchase cheaper from overseas before someone at the top wakes up to the fact. I've seen a number of cases where the main supplier has banned its international distributors from shipping into each others regions (ie US to OZ when there is already an OZ distributor.) in order to support its distribution network better. I've tried to buy other non bike items in the US and was told by several companies they were not permitted to sell into this region and that they should re-direct me to the local distributor.
